Dr. Edwin S. Iversen was a professor of biological oceanography at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marin and Atmospheric Science for thirty-seven years. He published many books and articles in his field, perhaps the best known being Farming the Edge of the Sea. The Rosenstiel School has established the Edwin S. Iverson Prize in Aquaculture to honor Dr. Iversen and to promote the career of students interested in the field.
